Kenai Landing Boat Launch in Kenai Alaska. Launch fee of $15.00 per vehicle. Photo taken on July 05^th, 2005. The launch is scheduled to be completed and open for use on Monday July 11^th, 2005.

Upon visiting this boat launch a few areas of concern were immediately noted. First was the amount of traffic in connection with the fish processing activities. There was heavy equipment and vehicles moving at a fairly rapid pace throughout the parking lot and surrounding area. If you are using this facility, keep your eyes open at all times.

Second was the lack of loading and unloading space at the waters edge where deep mud was not present. This could make for some delays in launching if there is already someone at the ramp. With no dock or even a safe area to pull a boat up to shore during anytime other then high tide, this launch has some serious limitations. I do expect improvements upon these areas in the future but for now, this one is best left to the commercial boat tenders.
