Boat launch at the mouth of the Kenai River is run by the City of Kenai. Launch fee of $15.00 per vehicle or $157.50 for a yearly pass. Next Photo Boat Launch Fee

Driving Directions to Kenai River Boat Launch:
From Anchorage: Plan on about three (3) hours driving time each way. Drive south on the Seward Highway 95 miles to the Sterling Highway turn-off just past Jerome Lake. Exit off the Seward Highway at the turn-off (Off Ramp) and drive 45 miles to Soldotna. Continue on around Kenai Lake and through the cities of Cooper Landing Sterling and to the Kenai exit at the “Y” in Soldotna. ( at the Second Stoplight ). Turn right at the “Y” onto the Kenai Spur Highway. Continue to drive 7 miles to the town of Kenai. at the second stoplight, (Bridge Access Road) turn left and proceed 2.5 miles to the sign on the right for the Kenai City Dock just past Carlile Trucking. Turn right onto the access road to enter the Kenai city boat launch. You can pay your boat launch fee at the attendants station as you enter, ($15.00). Traffic from this point is one way to facilitate traffic flow. Very easy launch facility with easy parking but prepare for a crowd during the dip netting season.
